Yes, and everyone should get one for free at 18 and be automatically registered to vote, and election day as a national holiday.

 @9WKBKF6 from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

Provide access for everyone, register everyone to vote at 18, come up with a solution that doesn't disenfranchise groups of voters.

 @9S96RKNIndependent from North Carolina  answered…11mos11MO

Yes, if the govt provides free photo id's to Americans so the opportunity to vote isn't road blocked by time or money

 @9RCFSMCLibertarian from North Carolina  answered…11mos11MO

Yes, a photo ID should be free or charge and there should be programs to assist people with obtaining one.

 @9R6WDYQ from North Carolina  answered…12mos12MO

Yes, but allow for other forms of ID such as Passport, Social Security Numbers, RealID programs, or a form to confirm the person is who they say they are.

 @9L7V9KC from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

But it should be any valid state ID like a fishing license a school ID for a public university or if you’re in high school and you can vote your high school ID

 @9KXJHWL from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

No, but if it is implemented anyway, a free government I'd should be provided to all that is standardized

 @9B2YGZC from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, even if voter fraud isn't really a thing. It could still help in some way. they could see who isnt really voting and see if they can help.

 @96G5YZ6 from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

those who are well of should ,but those who aren't well of shouldnt have to if it is difficult for them.

 @95TRZ66 from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

Yea but then the government should make it more accessible to get licenses in low income areas.

 @93PGSW2 from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, and issue free IDs along with automatic registration at age 18. Give voters up to 4 years to obtain IDs.

 @93HRXV7Socialist from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

ID should be required, but other forms of ID should be accepted for those who do not have one due to issues of homelessness, finances, etc. Also, voter registration should be automatic on a person's 18th birthday.

 @92ZBT8G from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but we should eventually move to a fingerprint identification system instead

 @92GWMT8 from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

 @9282H8K from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but accessibility to attain a photo ID should be improved for the sake of those economically disadvantaged

 @8YZD839 from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

No, your birth certificate baring citizenship of course should be your proof of id and you should be automatically registered to vote when you turn 18. No more extra ID's thank you.

 @8YNDCR9 from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8XYTMRK from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes and No because it can help prevent voter fraud but some people don´t have a photo ID as they don´t know what that is or they can´t afford one.

 @8XTW9YCIndependent from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

No, however some form of information should be required to be provided such as social security identification number, citizenship documentation in order to ensure that the individual in question is a legal citizen of the United States. In addition to this, those who have past criminal charges such as felonies and misdemeanor chargers should be allowed to vote as well as those who are still serving time in state and local prison(s).

 @8XSNKHD from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8X4LCQCIndependent from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but put in place a speacial photo voter ID card that everyone has access to.

 @8WZDX64Socialist from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only if there are government funded initiatives to provide photo IDs, for free, to as many citizens as possible, to reduce any barrier to voting that may exist.

 @8WR7NWL from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, who would think its a good idea to allow people not associated with this country or those not allowed to vote to have a say in its future... stupid question

 @8W9RSYWDemocrat from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

you already have to provide your state issued ID along with your voter registration card at the time of voting, so Yes

Yes, if you have to show your ID for other things then you should have to show an ID to vote

 @8TZKP42Republican from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

I don’t care about whether or not you use a photo ID, however, the notion that it is racist is incorrect in my opinion.

 @8TPKLMQ from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

ID should be required but government needs to make IDs free and easy to obtain.,

 @8SYKR4Y from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8SD8YFX from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

In this advanced age of technology, A face scan should be implemented to ensure that each in-person vote is only counted once. This way, a person could not vote at one ballot and then vote again at a separate one. All face images will be immediately deleted after the vote to ensure transparency and privacy.

 @8SCXSFM from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

In the age of technology that we currently live in, a facial recognition program could be designed so that voters that go to the ballots cannot go to a separate ballot after voting and vote twice. This would require little to no registration whilst protecting the integrity of the election. Face scans will be deleted after voting to ensure right to privacy is protected.

Yes, this will prevent voter fraud

Maybe not a photo ID, but there should be some form of identification. If not, IDs should be easier to obtain.

Yes and only In dire situations for mail in to avoid fraud. I also think most state should have two weeks of in person voting OR mandatory days of to do so. I am for fair and free elections

 @8PRWNZQ from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

No, this will disadvantage those who do not have the resources to obtain one, we must also lower the voting age to 16 and provide automatic voter registration.

 @8PQK39F from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, and open up more DMVs so that it is easier for people to get an ID

 @8PQ9QQC from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8NG25MR from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes , since you have to be a certain age anyway. Accept more forms of ID. College IDs can tell age too

 @8MYN8Q4 from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

Shouldn't really matter, we have people making decisions that don't understand anything more than getting re-elected and that is why this is a question. Make the voting system easier. I think if we trust our $ online we should trust a neutral voting website/app.

No, but you should preset your voter registration card received when you registered. Additionally Voter registration card and ID should be linked to drivers license, state Id, whenever issued, and the ID should reflect the registration and be usable in place of voter registration card to vote

No, not until the US catches up with the rest of the western world and provides an easy, secure, and cheap way for all residents to aquire a government issued ID

 @8JCX474 from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes but only if the government invests money to ensure every person has an ID

 @8HTW3KX from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

No, this disenfranchises people who cannot obtain an ID, fuels conspiracy theories of electoral fraud, and will ultimately suppress voter turnout which assists electing fringe, conservative, and unelectable candidates.

 @9BFHXYV from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

it should be required but the government should give everyone an ID so there is no barrier of entry due to poverty

 @8ZVGYFKSocialist from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, as long as the ID is available at no cost and no inconvenience to the individual

 @8G25847 from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, and voters should be automatically registered, and the id should be easily attainable.

 @8F6WYD6Democrat from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes we also need to require voting. Make it mandatory for citizenship. In addition we need to address WHY a photo ID is a barrier. Is cost the issue? Is the process the issue? Why is having a photo ID problematic for people? Is there a better way to make sure everyone can have one?
