The government should be reorganized into a series of non coercitive voluntary organizations, so if one of them thinks their members need photo IDs to vote, then so be it. There is no harm to anyone as long as any members can leave at any time.

No, but the method for voting should be reformed. Everyone should be put into a database with their fingerprints in the system so when they go to vote they can scan their fingerprint.

 @8DMWWTGLibertarian from California  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes. But states should provide access to every citizen to receive an ID free of charge and should be accessible at state and federal offices (including post offices) that are not tied to bureau of motor vehicles.

 @8D4YFP9 from New York  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8D2XGYR from Ohio  answered…5yrs5Y

Some kind of ID should be required, to ensure no intentional or accidental duplication, but requiring it to be photo ID creates unfair bias against those who do not have the resources or ability to obtain one, nor should anyone be required to register with the state for the sole purpose of being publically ID'd. Any kind of ID should suffice - SS card, Birth Cert, bill with your address on it, etc

No, but some type of identification should be required whether it is a voter registration card, bill showing name and address, ID card, etc.

 @4NJR28JIndependentanswered…4yrs4Y

I'd accept ID requirement for voting, but it doesn't necessarily have to be a "photo ID" like license, proof of where you live or that you are a resident of that county will suffice.
