“Rather than close down the government--however a balanced reduction in spending should be considered. How about looking at congressional pensioners, congressional health care, staffing, congressional benefit packages that far exceed private enterprise/employees, but not at the expense of the poor (although aid to non-working, multigenerational welfare recipients should be evaluated--welfare is a hand-up, not a hand out! I am not in favor of across the board cuts--but well thought out reductions in waste. Social Security is paid for by recipients--it should not be counted as an "entitlement"!”
