“A shutdown was completely unnecessary and unfair to those who were supposed o accept 100% of the expected monetary savings. If the govt. is short 5% or whatever in revenue then all employees should have their paycheck reduced by that amount> Living on 93 or 94 or 95% of your previous paycheck is not going to wreak unnecessary hardship on anyone. My wife and I who ran a small business understood that while we could make more money nest year we could also make less and we better be prepared to live on what we made. That is a lesson that needs to be learned by all whether they are govt. o private industry employees.”
