Yes. There are millions of gallons of oil off Cuba. If we were able to drill offshore of Cuba and refine and sell our own fuel here, we would no longer have to rely on the Middle East.

Yes but pay the foreign countries less, all that money goes to a few families and they don’t help out their country at all.

No keep it the same, only increase if it's needed, instead provide more incentives for alternative energy production. Mostly cleaner alternatives. Try to not over pollute. And over use oil. Keep the market free.

Yes, but increase regulation regarding safety and environmental standards.

While oil drilling is a great energy source currently, I believe we should move over to nuclear energy sooner than later.

 @8R7524ZRepublican from New Jersey  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but only after the technology is better and less likely to cause a spill

 @8R74G5R from Tennessee  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but maintain our current offshore oil wells, and increase drilling in states like Wyoming and the midwest.

 @8R3LJFF from Kentucky  answered…4yrs4Y

If it means independent I’m all for it. I don’t think it’s necessary if all countries follow the same guidelines.

No, but maintain our current offshore oil wells while moving more towards alternative energy.

There should be fans to slowly phase out fossil fuils while preparing for new jobs for renewable energy. 30 year plan.

 @8QPMHVW from Connecticut  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes. But make sure it’s not on or near anybody’s of water, also make sure that if you’re drilling in another country, you make sure the governor of the state gives you permission to drill there

 @8QFCJRRRepublican from Connecticut  answered…4yrs4Y

Drill anywhere you want as long as it’s not in or near a large body of water. Also only drill in other countries if the governor of the state in that country says it’s ok.

 @8QBZM8H from California  answered…5yrs5Y

Only in areas that are not teeming with wildlife in critical ecosystems.

 @8Q54FYY from Pennsylvania  answered…5yrs5Y

we should keep the current ones but we should be allowed to build more but if need be

I think we should find an equilibrium between conservation and entertaining production by drilling on our own soil. Or we should try to increase fuel efficiency.

Yes, but increase regulations to prevent oil spills and increase punishments on corporations after oil spills. what happened after the british petroleum (B.P.) Lousiana oil spill was horrible. B.P. bought up all the local oil spill recovery companies so they could profit off of the oil spill!

 @8Q6XWSMRepublican from West Virginia  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes we should but we must also take more safety precautions so something doesn’t happen to damage the wildlife
