Yes, if they pay taxes, but punish companies that hire a disproportionate number of illegal immigrants compared to native citizens

 @9GX62WVDemocrat from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but penalize companies that hire a disproportionate number of illegal immigrants compared to native citizens or exploit an amnesty program to reduce wages

 @HaruJPDemocrat from Maine  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, but if they have no criminal history and they work here temporarily, and also these illegal workers must officially prove themselves with a special document, through which companies create special jobs with special conditions for them and without harm to civilian workers.

 @7PTCG38Democrat  from Wisconsin  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, create a simple path to citizenship for immigrants who can provide proof of employment and are paying taxes

 @9WHTPBNDemocrat from North Carolina  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, if they pay taxes, but any company that hires a disproportionate amount of illegal workers compared to native citizens should be penalized.

 @9T6DN2MDemocrat from North Carolina  answered…10mos10MO

Yes, but only if they also pay taxes and are willing to consider becoming a legal citizen. Also punish companies that hire a disproportionate amount of illegal workers compared to native citizens

 @9RLNWLRDemocrat from California  answered…12mos12MO

We need to develop a reasonable work permit program and immigration policy. Individuals arriving in America prior to 2019 and employed should have a reasonable path to citizenship, but more recent immigrants should adhere to the new policy yet to be developed (no automatic path).

Yes, if they pay taxes, but require that they either commit to acquiring citizenship at some point or renew their visa and green cards as needed

 @8XLR4JXDemocrat  from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but only if they’re paying taxes. Ensure that they’re treated as fairly as American workers in terms of wages and working conditions and fine companies that disproportionately hire more illegal immigrants than American citizens

 @9NLZLPXDemocrat from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, as long as they pay taxes. However, companies that hire a disproportionate number of illegal workers should be penalized

 @9L567X7Democrat from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

If illegal immigrants work hard and participate in society and or serve in our military they should have the path to citizenship made easier for them

 @9J4MXNNDemocrat from New Mexico  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but only if they pay taxes and are immigrants with no criminal record and have resided in the united states for more than 27 years , speak english and have well assimilated into american culture .

 @9GJKT26Democrat from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, as long as they pay taxes. Additionally there should be a simpler path to citizenship for immigrants who are amnesty records as longas they have no criminal records.

 @9FNPLFMDemocrat  from New Hampshire  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, if they pay taxes, and create a more straightforward path for citizenship

 @8XLR4JXDemocrat  from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, to an extent, but make sure they’re treated as fairly as American workers in terms of wages and working conditions and fine companies that disproportionately hire more illegal immigrants than American citizens

 @9F7XPV2Democrat from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes. Provide amnesty to an extent, while at the same time penalizing companies for low wages and/or hiring a disproportionate number of illegals as opposed to legal citizens.

 @9DY7ZWLDemocrat from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

illegal immigrants can be temporary workers with work VISA. Employers should be required to keep track of their illegal immigrant employees with picture IDs for Illegal Immigrants. There should be laws to protect these workers from being mistreated physically or with pay. They should be required to pay taxes or employers pay their taxes. If workers go AWOL, the employer should report to a single agency who then tries to locate missing workers and deport them and revoke their work Visa.

They should not be given amnesty, but those who are employed, pay taxes, have no criminal record, and can otherwise demonstrate exemplary behavior should be put on the fast track for citizenship.

 @8QM3V4Y from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, We should revoke the right of companies which hire illegal immigrants to do business. The path to citizenship should be reexamined and changed so that it is simpler and reflects the current needs of the country, so long as the individual does not have a violent criminal record.
