Illegal immigrants, as well as legal immigrants in the country less than five years, are not eligible for free healthcare through Medicaid. A 2007 study estimated that less than 1 percent of Medicaid spending went to healthcare for illegal immigrants. Proponents of subsidized healthcare for immigrants argue that increased access to basic preventive care will lower the demand for costly emergency care. Opponents argue that immigrants in the healthcare system run the risk of becoming "permanent patients," because they have no relatives, insurance or an established address where they can go once released.

Illegal immigrants shouldn't have full access to government-subsidized healthcare, but, they should have a basis of hospitality check-ins or life-threatening emergencies or infectious diseases; diseases from the US and not from another country.
yes, but even if their sickness isn't live threatening I would still take them in & see what I can do to help them.
@9FL3XNH2yrs2Y
Yes, if they plan to create a stable life in the U.S.
Illegal immigrants should be granted government-subsidized healthcare if they pay taxes or if they have lived here for more then 3 years and have committed no crimes
@9DXS9DJ2yrs2Y
yes if they pay taxes or if there is a life threatening emergency or diseases
@9DQQVK82yrs2Y
I believe it becomes a problem when America starts taking care of immigrants more than its own people and thats the problem. Not to say anybody should be denied health care if they are in need of it but when illegal immigrants are being treated better than citizens it becomes an issue.
@9D5F7S32yrs2Y

@8VWXCHC4yrs4Y
yes alot of immigrants have come here so their kids would be documented and have papers, also to live a better life and give their kids a better life, alot of them come here for all the right reasons knowing the risk.
@9FJGFSM2yrs2Y
Yes, everyone should be allowed access to medical care regardless of their citizenship status
Immigrants both legal and illegal should have access to free healthcare to a certain extent, which is if the injury is life-threatening or infectious. Their kids who would, American citizens or not, should also have free healthcare no matter the injury.
