Yes, and the child's parents should receive protection or citizenship once the child reaches 2 years of residency and citizenship within the United States

 @9XL4P33Peace and Freedom from New Jersey  answered…11mos11MO

i feel they should be able to work on their papers rather quickly and not have such a hard time getting their papers

 @9X9JDXBPeace and Freedom from Washington D.C.  answered…11mos11MO

It depends on the age, like under 18 and they have moved into America illegally, whether born here or not, they be able to have the opportunity to legally become an American citizen.

 @9X3ZYNRGreen from Minnesota  answered…11mos11MO

Yes, but only if the children were born here, and it would not grant their parents citizenship as well, they would still have to submit a formal application.

 @9WPNFZLSocialist from Texas  answered…12mos12MO

i'd say no because what if it's not fair for the people that are born here and they run out of something just saying what if because I feel like it should be only to the people that was born here in the us

 @9WP5VQPPeace and Freedom from Wisconsin  answered…12mos12MO

They should have temporary citizenship, and when they are the age where they can get the real citizenship from the citizenship test after the temporary citizenship ends.

 @9VH5WVBPeace and Freedom from Illinois  answered…1yr1Y

As long as if they have family who resides in the US, and is coming to live in the country, then they could grant legal citizenship

 @9VDZ3VCPeace and Freedomfrom Washington  answered…1yr1Y

i think yes just because there parents were illegal immigrants doesnt mean that the the kids or childs of the parents were.

 @trinkalsGreen  from Ohio  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, revamp the system to make it much easier for citizenship, penalize those who hire illegals under the table

 @558YLXVSocialist answered…1yr1Y

Yes, if they were born on US soil they should get birthright citizenship; I would also support a much more streamlined path to citizenship for all immigrants (legal and otherwise).

 @9NJBKX3Peace and Freedom from Indiana  answered…1yr1Y

Yes but I think after completing after a service not a impossible service but I think everyone deserves a citizenship as long as they are law abiding.

 @9KG5KSYPeace and Freedom from California  answered…2yrs2Y

I would agree but if they grow up and do horrible things, then they should go to jail and take away their citizenship.

 @9KDCL6WGreen from California  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes but only if their parents are given the same citizenship. But the process for their parents should be easier and more efficient so that people can become US citizens and contribute to a forward-growing nation.

 @9KD93H2Peace and Freedom from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, I don’t understand the purpose for not letting someone into the country just because they weren’t born here, its stupid.

 @9JYMNP5Socialist from Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes after 6 months and no criminal activity I would allow them to apply for citizenship like anyone else.

 @9JX9TVRPeace and Freedom from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

I feel like children should be allowed citizenship if they had an important reason. Like if it was life threatening and dangerous

 @9JR9VDJSocialist from Illinois  answered…2yrs2Y

It is important not to discriminate on children based on their parent legal status in the country. This is the law. Being born in the U.S. guarantees citizenship rights , regardless of whether their parent came and gave birth to them on a visa or entered illegally .

 @9JNYLVFPeace and Freedom from Kansas  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes but once they are well enough to travel they should be sent to a hospital in their respective country. If not available they should be granted partial citizenship along with their parents.

 @9JHVV9VSocialist  from Vermont  answered…2yrs2Y

No but if their parents or legal guardians acquire citizenship they should also have it on the same basis until they can apply and be approved legally.

 @9JCBDNWPeace and Freedom from Tennessee  answered…2yrs2Y

yes because everyone should be treated equally, it don't matter if you have American rights everyone is human.

 @9HVW48KSocialist from Massachusetts  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes if they were born here, and the parents should be given the right to raise their child where the child was born.

 @9GJPSJ3Peace and Freedom from Washington  answered…2yrs2Y

every immigrant should be deported their kids and them our beautiful country is being over whelmed with them and some how they get a way with it the president should fund money for building the wall better them ever remaking it making it taller thicker just recently a semi truck crashed into our border and more immigrants got in when trump get reelected he will as he says will make america great again he's not racist he just a true patriot

 @9FWFS3WSocialist from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

They deserve it since they don't have much of a choice in being illegal immigrants since they're parents force them.

 @9FVY2KMGreen from Ohio  answered…2yrs2Y

No, not because they are ALL dangerous, it is because I would rather leave a child with their families and be deported than let the child in foster care and lose their biological parents.

 @9FRQQM6Peace and Freedom from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

no baby should be held accountable for their parents actions. it wasnt their choice to be born so dont start them off with a disadvantage

 @9FJDPGKSocialist from Arkansas  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but also grand their parents citizenship in order to raise their own children.

 @9FJD9H2Socialist from Arkansas  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and also should grant citizenship towards their parents to raise said children.

 @9FGD6CSPeace and Freedom from Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

We should be careful who we let into our country, but I understand that most illegal immigrants come here for better opportunities, and cant wait any longer to get to a safer country.I want to make it more accessible to those who need it.

 @9FBFR9JPeace and Freedom from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

depends on who and when they came to America and if they are a threat to America then no

 @9F8CSGJPeace and Freedom from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

only if they were born in the US and have a family member that is a us citizen and can financially take care of the children and need no government assistance.

 @9CGVC45Socialist from California  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and give all current undocumented immigrants a pathway to citizenship

 @94C7XZ4Socialist from Washington  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but only if they've spent a significant amount of time living here.

 @945RL29Peace and Freedom from Washington  answered…3yrs3Y

No, it should be based on your parents citizenship, not where born. If my family was on vacation out of country, it should not change my citizenship because I was born there!

 @93V5YQTPeace and Freedom from Illinois  answered…3yrs3Y

Make the process of becoming a legal citizen easier rather them waiting 14 years+

 @93SKS76Peace and Freedom from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

If they can prove that they can make a good impact to the community yes, school grades, responsibility at work, discipline, following rules.

 @93HWGW5Green from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, so long as their parents go through the proper channels to be naturalized and are paying taxes.

 @92DKDZPPeace and Freedom from Ohio  answered…3yrs3Y

No, but I do believe that the citizen application need to be redone to 12 months or less to ensure a quick and fair citizenship. And laws that they need to abide by to keep there citizenship.

 @8ZDCZM3Green from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8ZDBWTDPeace and Freedom from Washington D.C.  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8XKX5W6Peace and Freedom from Maine  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only after performing 2 years of military service OR graduating college which was funded by the government if the child is unable to afford the cost. No one should be forced into military service however education at a minimum, is important for everyone.

 @8WN78G8Peace and Freedom from Tennessee  answered…4yrs4Y

if they were born here then sure but I don't think they should be separated from their parents if found out they were illegal immigrants

 @8W8YRW4Peace and Freedom from Missouri  answered…4yrs4Y

Only if they were born in this country, or giving to a whole other family that is legal.

 @8W8L4LKGreen from Michigan  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VZF7BXSocialist from Arizona  answered…4yrs4Y

Unless at least one parent of a child is a US citizen, they should not automatically be granted US citizenship because it only causes confusion and difficulty for our immigration system. This law needs to change!

 @8RTG3YBGreen from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes they are too young to be expected to go through the long process of becoming a citizen, only if they are under 18 years old though

 @8RSF4NQPeace and Freedom from Virginia  answered…5yrs5Y

yes but there should be a small process in order for them to get it cause if not all the children would come from south America.

 @8RMVHRZPeace and Freedom from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

both the parents and children should be granted some type of document. *only if they deserve it*

Five years of military service or four years of college plus formally applying after such requirements are met.
