Yes, and if their parents have been in the country more than 8 years "illegally", they should automatically be granted citizenship.

 @9VVBYDCSocialist  from Virginia  answered…3mos3MO

Yes, and the child's parents should receive protection or citizenship once the child reaches 2 years of residency and citizenship within the United States

 @9WPNFZLSocialist from Texas  answered…9mos9MO

i'd say no because what if it's not fair for the people that are born here and they run out of something just saying what if because I feel like it should be only to the people that was born here in the us

 @558YLXVSocialist answered…11mos11MO

Yes, if they were born on US soil they should get birthright citizenship; I would also support a much more streamlined path to citizenship for all immigrants (legal and otherwise).

 @9992HTR  from GU  answered…11mos11MO

Yes, all undocumented immigrants already here should be granted amnesty. In general, immigration should be made easier, with paths to citizenship following a background check, efficient border restrictions, and end the Drug War in order to help alleviate the need for people to immigrate to begin with.

 @85QWNPG  from Colorado  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, if they serve 4 years in the military, or if their parents have been in the country more than 8 years "illegally", they should automatically be granted citizenship.

 @9JYMNP5Socialist from Virginia  answered…1yr1Y

Yes after 6 months and no criminal activity I would allow them to apply for citizenship like anyone else.

 @9JSCF3R  from Missouri  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, if they've spent the majority of their life here they should not risk deportation from the only home they've ever known.

 @9JR9VDJSocialist from Illinois  answered…1yr1Y

It is important not to discriminate on children based on their parent legal status in the country. This is the law. Being born in the U.S. guarantees citizenship rights , regardless of whether their parent came and gave birth to them on a visa or entered illegally .

 @9JK8HT8 from Virginia  answered…1yr1Y

Why let them in just to put them in a camp or even worse, the system. Honestly though I think we should, but only if they had a system in place like we do for foreign exchange students.

 @9JHVV9VSocialist  from Vermont  answered…1yr1Y

No but if their parents or legal guardians acquire citizenship they should also have it on the same basis until they can apply and be approved legally.

 @9HVW48KSocialist from Massachusetts  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes if they were born here, and the parents should be given the right to raise their child where the child was born.

 @9FWFS3WSocialist from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

They deserve it since they don't have much of a choice in being illegal immigrants since they're parents force them.

 @9FJDPGKSocialist from Arkansas  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but also grand their parents citizenship in order to raise their own children.

 @9FJD9H2Socialist from Arkansas  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and also should grant citizenship towards their parents to raise said children.

  @9CJ6CB6  from Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

We shouldn't continue practicing birth citizenship as that makes a loophole in immigration laws, and is used far too often to have a strong case to stay in the US rather than legitimately getting a citizenship. We're one of few nations that practice this, and we should focus on incentivizing legal immigration.

 @9CGVC45Socialist from California  answered…2yrs2Y

 @8VZF7BXSocialist from Arizona  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes; through the standard immigration process established by comprehensive immigration, migrant-worker, & asylum reform. Though their consideration should be conditionally deferred in preference to law abiding immigrants.

 @8VFZX8S from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y
