Yes; we should use the UN to our advantage and secure our interests by encouraging the creation of policies that support us and further our goals; we should only follow the policies that support us and we should also use the U.N. peacekeeping forces to protect our interests. If that does not work, however, then we should leave the UN and form our own intergovernmental organization comprised solely of countries that support us. The bottom line is that we must have as much influence on the global stage as possible
@9Y4FVC39mos9MO
Since America has the strongest military in the world other country should pay a tax to be in the UN.
@9TJWX62Libertarian11mos11MO
We are the UN. We are in one of the voting permanent seat in U.N. Let’s not weaken our global power.
@9QFNTB21yr1Y
Yes, but the UN should be encouraged to actually be a neutral party that doesn't rely on the US to safeguard world peace.
@9MBXXK21yr1Y
Yes, but the actions of the UN should be reduced because current actions don’t make much of a difference except spend money
@9M9RY2VLibertarian1yr1Y
Yes, but not to the point where we are the world police. Having a coalition of nations with opposing viewpoints is good and being able to discuss them at the UN can help deflect future armed conflict.
@9M4X7CTRepublican1yr1Y
Yes, and change the rules so that what percent of the budget you pay for is what percent of power you have in it.
@9DPSHJJ2yrs2Y
If the other countries pay more and do more more and we pay less and do less yes. We can donour part but i dont support world pokicing.
@9DMBMZR2yrs2Y
Only if trump is president
@6RLXHW83yrs3Y
No, and work to disband it
@7BK2VZ6Republican3yrs3Y
No, and we should work to abolish or significantly reduce the influence of the U.N.
@93Z36NN3yrs3Y
Every country should pay their own share less involvement
@2B92Y72Republican3yrs3Y
Yes, but reform the U.N. to its pro-democracy roots in conflicts such as the nationality of Taiwan and Chinese imperialism.
@8XWY4JY4yrs4Y
Yes, but lessen monetary contributions from US and demand increased funding from other members
@8X8JXX94yrs4Y
Yes, to monitor what other nations are doing and enforce equal pay into programs and lower the dollar amount Americans are spending worldwide.
@8WTSX5C4yrs4Y
Yes, but force other countries to pay their fair share.
@8WLHLTTIndependent4yrs4Y
Yes, but ensure every country pays their fair share.
@8WBL2BG4yrs4Y
Be more aggressive in promoting American interests and countering terrorist and communist members. If we can't or won't do that, get out and tell the UN to get out of the US.
@8T38LW6Republican4yrs4Y
No, unless the United Nations actually enforces Human Rights in nations such as China or Arab countries
@8SR6GL54yrs4Y
Yes if it wont work for our benefit.
@8SQCNHB4yrs4Y
Yes, but hold other accountable and request nations to increase their gdp and dues payments.
@8S7PGJQ4yrs4Y
The United States is the U.N
@8S5W9WB4yrs4Y
Yes, but all countries should fund the UN equally. The US should vastly decrease its funding of the UN.
@8RZWYGY4yrs4Y
Yes, but certain conditions must be meat. If any of those conditions are broken, then the U.S should leave.
@8RVM8L74yrs4Y
No, the U.N. has in recent years proven to be a threat to the safety of Americans.
@8RV6ZSWRepublican4yrs4Y
We aren’t currently in the UN
@ORYGUNGUYLibertarian4yrs4Y
Yes! Because if we leave the organization we lose our VETO of one sided anti-American agendas.
@8Q8NMK65yrs5Y
Yes, we have a veto power that we retain as long as we remain a member, it is necessary we retain this vote.
@9CLFR2K2yrs2Y
Yes but the other countries need to pay they’re fair share
@9C2RR8TRepublican2yrs2Y
We should put preasure on them to serve America's interests, if the UN does not comply, then we can consider leaving.
@9BBPG5D2yrs2Y
to let them know who we are
@99KCTF32yrs2Y
Ideally yes, but I don’t know if that’s currently a possibility
@IINXMPRepublican5yrs5Y
No, as China is gaining influence onto the world via the UN. We should them accountable for their crimes against humanity in international court, and help reform China into a country like our own. Only then can we rejoin the UN.
@EthanHarsConstitution5yrs5Y
Yes, use it to punish China and Russia
