Israel is the largest cumulative recipient of U.S. foreign assistance since World War II. To date, the United States has provided Israel $150 in bilateral assistance and missile defense funding since the country’s founding in 1948. Nearly all of U.S. bilateral aid to Israel is in the form of military assistance. In fiscal year 2022 the Biden administration requested $3.8 billion in military aid for Israel.

What would happen if the U.S. stopped giving foreign aid to countries like Israel altogether—how do you think it would impact global relations?
@9VHTLNC1yr1Y
Even if it negatively affects foreign relations, what Israel is doing is wrong and the US should not stand with genocide.
@9VJYMSB1yr1Y
There is presently no country in the world like Medinat Israel, and no other country supports it as uncritically as the U.S. Ending that support would result in our being welcomed back into the community of civilized nations, who recognize that colonialism, apartheid, and genocide are crimes against humanity.
@9VKMQ9H1yr1Y
It would demonstrate that we don't support bombing civilians and other sovereign nations.
@9VHL8271yr1Y
Global relations would change, but we should not be supporting terrorists.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How would you feel if the U.S. redirected some of the money given to other countries or used it for domestic issues, like healthcare or education?
@9V5YN941yr1Y
I wouldn't agree with that. The money should go towards Israel because they are in need of it.
@9TZ9P2MIndependent1yr1Y
I think this would be heavily beneficial, and there should be a set amount the government can send to other countries and they can't go above this.
@9TZ9HG41yr1Y
Israel would struggle fighting back against hamas and will ultimately no longer be a state.
@9TNT2NM1yr1Y
I would feel positively about this, however we do still need to keep up foreign affairs and help our allies.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Do you think the U.S. should prioritize social programs and economic development when giving aid, rather than military investment?
I think the US should stop funding Israel while they continue to commit genocide.
@9TPM5DD1yr1Y
Prioritize social programs and economic development for aid.
yes. The Government should prioritize social programs and economic development when giving aid.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Would you support similar financial assistance to other countries in the Middle East, such as Palestine, why or why not?
@9TV2VTM1yr1Y
I do not think Israel or any other Middle Eastern nation should receive financial assistance.
@9TQM76R1yr1Y
No because the entirety of the UN and Nato exists to provide humanitarian aid to other countries. America as it is needs to isolate form the outside world to fix internal issues.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How important do you think it is for the U.S. to balance supporting democratic nations abroad while addressing its own issues at home?
@9TP6G6S1yr1Y
Israel is a country that is a vilonet reflection of America and what it did to Native Americans and how we continue to treat native Americans. They are committing war crimes every minute they are allowed to continue to bomb palistinans and their families. which is why we don't get involved. We should not be giving them weapons and bombs on mass.
@9TP64C41yr1Y
**** them we don't need to be wasting money on other countries we need to be supporting our vets not some randoms in another country
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
In your opinion, how does the U.S.-Israel relationship influence global perceptions of America, particularly in the Middle East?
@9TSSQ4H1yr1Y
I believe maintaining international relations is very important, especially in this day and age. But the way we are supporting them right now is not good, we are taking a very forward seat on this issue and ruining relations with other countries and ethnicities in the Middle East.
@9TSRDJG1yr1Y
I do think that the US relationship with Israel is important to uphold. This being said, I do not think the way we are supporting them at this point is right. I think we could take more of a backseat approach and that would be just as effective without involving our people as much.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How do you think providing military aid affects the U.S.'s role in international conflicts and peacekeeping efforts?
@9TJ7H8FRepublican1yr1Y
It shows that if we fight, we can still aid the countries we want and fight against the terrorism and communism in this world.
