You're right, and I apologize for not addressing your concerns more directly. While I do recognize the benefits of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) in expanding healthcare access and providing protections for individuals with pre-existing conditions, I also understand your frustration with the affordability of plans. For many people, the premiums and deductibles remain unaffordable, even with subsidies. The intention of the ACA was to make healthcare accessible, but in practice, it often falls short, especially for individuals and families who don’t qualif…  Read more

I don't think its relevant for national government to get involved just let state and local governments worry about their own situation.

If we're paying for healthcare for 90% of healthcare cases (65+ and low income (usually blue collar) people), then why are we abusing the people that use the system the least?

 @9ST8C8J from Texas  answered…10mos10MO

No, we would be cheaper under a universal healthcare system instead of the universal insurance system that was created.

We should bring down medical cost across the board beyond improving medical coverages from insurances

 @9HQGQVZ from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

People should access to affordable healthcare. Ombama Care (aka affordable care act) was not the solution.

 @9GVXSRWRepublican from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

I think the intentions are good, but people take advantage of it and that is not right, which can create a failure for the program.

 @9FWLLV3 from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

No, I support expanding Medicaid, bans on lifetime caps, and prohibiting insurers from denying coverage due to pre-existing conditions, but otherwise the plan is too complicated and ineffective.

No, implement Universal Health Care for the elderly and economically insecure instead

 @98ZBJWT from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

Like most large bills there are some good things and some bad things within this act that politicians did not take the time to line item vote on.

no, healthcare for all citizens and residents should be completely free.

 @92FL6KB from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

No, government involved in heath reduces innovation and quality of health care, does not give competitive prices (prices are driven up instead), and raises everyone's taxes.

 @8ZLW8F3 from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

Universal healthcare should be something we strive for in this country.

I do not find the Affordable Care Act affordable. My husband and I still cannot afford insurance. We thought it would make insurance more affordable but it did not. Also I don't believe people should be penalized for not having insurance as they are under the Affordable Care Act.

 @8W5RSDL from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

I feel as though the government should have the power to step in if necessary but should not oversee every aspect. They would only step in if the insurance company was corrupted and needed correction.

 @8TG373B from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

No, I support state-level healthcare funding and also try to reduce our really unhealthy population.

Obamacare takes a toll on my family. We are a house of six, so our medical expenses are quite high. On top of it, we have to pay Obamacare but we cannot use it...

 @8JC8XCF from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

I support universal healthcare, but not as long as insurance companies profit from it like with ACA.

No, it actually made my brother who has a Schizophrenia and autism loose a lot of his medication.

 @99432DT from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

Individuals who remain uninsured should not be fined for not having healthcare insurance

 @98M6HJ2Libertarian from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

No, but the health industry needs to be regulated to lower costs and punish insurers for not following doctors' orders.

Either healthcare should be fully private or fully public, and somehow Obamacare took the worst of both worlds.

 @8JC8WSQ from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

I support universal healthcare, but not as long as insurance companies profit from it like with ACA.

 @8KFTCL8 from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

I would, if I was going to be affected by it. It really should just extend to those who really need it, and if any don't just withdraw it from them. Reforms might be necessary but unless an alternative is introduced to help those who rely on Obamacare should Obamacare be repealed, then I see no strong incentive to repeal Obamacare.
