The Affordable Care Act is a federal statute signed into law in 2010 that introduces a sweeping overhaul of the nation’s healthcare system. The act grants the federal government significant regulatory powers and price controls over U.S. medical service providers and insurance companies. Government could have a standard non-profilt service that is minimal and bare bones, and all others are allowed to freely compete.
@9D7ZYBG2yrs2Y
No and Replace it with universal healthcare
@97SR8WD3yrs3Y
Yes. And a medical device tax should be imposed. Mental heath should not be covered. Alcoholics and cigarette smokers should qualify for food stamps.
Yes, but we should set up Medicare For All or Universal Healthcare
@95LDR5Y3yrs3Y
No, before Obamacare I had better insurance
@958TZF6Libertarian3yrs3Y
No the federal government should not be involved in anything other than defense.
@9578X9W3yrs3Y
No, a more comprehensive, social healthcare system would be better.
@93874YN3yrs3Y
@935RM563yrs3Y
No, open the markets so insurers can compete across state lines and allow pharmaceuticals to be imported
@92NS67P3yrs3Y
No, it’s just enabling what was already a scam system to continue existing by the government propping up its legitimacy. It’s a band-aid over a bullet hole.
@8ZQJJQB3yrs3Y
there should be universal healthcare for all
@8YTVYX7Independent3yrs3Y
The Government should provide a low cost option that covers very basic needs. It should be priced to compete with the lowest coverage offered by insurers.
@8YRRRDF3yrs3Y
not everything should be for free and handed to certain people because someone people could be using certain medications for drugs.
@8YLB7YKIndependent3yrs3Y
No, Private insurance should be replaced with a Universal Health Care system
@8Y3JLXF4yrs4Y
I don't enough about it to have an opinion.
@8Y2NB8J4yrs4Y
Provide a universal free healthcare for all but have premium tiers you can purchase for better healthcare
@8X5D2LR4yrs4Y
No, I do not believe that the government should just give healthcare away because it hurts the other healthcare companies that are not giving it away for free and does not make people actually have to try to get it.
@8X4HQMM4yrs4Y
Yes and no. It is still too expensive for me to afford. Otherwise I don't mind it
Medicare for all or Medicare for none
@8WXVNL64yrs4Y
Yes, but I support a single payer system with an elective private option
No, we need nationalized healthcare!
Abstain, due to lack of research done on my part.
@8R6QT8D4yrs4Y
Somewhat, but state based single payer systems would be ideal.
@8PZ3JBC5yrs5Y
No, I support a free market health care system
@8NGFKGT5yrs5Y
I was not educated that much.
I do not support Obamacare, but it should not be revoked until a new or better plan is in place to replace it
@8MRSGX25yrs5Y
i don't understand obamacare
@8LD9DG75yrs5Y
Yes, I support a majority of the plan but not all aspects. Like any first iteration of a plan, there's always room to improve and enhance for the better of the American people.
@8JQQ42J5yrs5Y
I support parts of it, but there needs to be fixes.
@8JKBBXL5yrs5Y
Everyone should have the same health care benefits no matter age or wages
@8JG5LQKIndependent5yrs5Y
Somewhat support. Always room for improvement.
@8J9WKZN5yrs5Y
Universal/single payer is the only way forward.
@8J535BZ5yrs5Y
I support a universal healthcare model, like South Korea.
@8HZKDGW5yrs5Y
Govt paid healthcare for all seniors above the age of 60. ALL CARE NEEDED The rest is private.
@8GPLCFY5yrs5Y
The idea is good, execution is bad
@8FKP3XB5yrs5Y
Free healthcare for all with freedom to choose providers and source of medicines
@8DDSCNFWomen’s Equality5yrs5Y
ACA only benefits non working people. Everyone who works has been impacted as insurance rates have gone up to cover expenses of non workers.
@8D73WNC5yrs5Y
No because this eliminates doctors to strive to be the best
@8D35C8Y5yrs5Y
no because this eliminates doctors to strive to be a great doctor if they will all end up being paid the same. I believe everyone should have access to health care but believe in finding an alternative (from Obama Care) to achieve this.
@9BGYT2N2yrs2Y
There should be a better alternative
@9B6TX4WIndependent2yrs2Y
The federal government should adopt a free universal health care system
@jjkaiser166Independent2yrs2Y
The Mandate for individual and small businesses along with a ban on interstate sale of insurance is what I oppose and those points should be permanently reversed . We need to have a smarter system that takes into account everyone's wealth and subsidize what is necessary to reduce out of pocket costs.
@98YLDTT2yrs2Y
I do not know enough to have a stance on it
@98WBFQS2yrs2Y
I don't really understand what this was. Need further explanation.
@98T94GX2yrs2Y
I don’t know enough about this situation
@98R74862yrs2Y
I would need to do more substantial research into Obamacare to develop a mature decision, however I do agree with the government giving some benefits and requiring states to give some. I also think the church should be helping people more than the government.
@98LT6KB2yrs2Y
I think support for Affordable care for people that have served in the military, have worked for their whole life and have retired and are working and maintaining their job should be able to get help with get medical care and have medical coverage. But people who have not worked their whole lives, refuse to work or have never worked cause they don't want to then I think that they should not be able to get help with medical coverage from the government.
@98GKJN73yrs3Y
NO, because it has monthly instead of annual premiums.
@984WGDH3yrs3Y
i do not support payed healthcare
@9849BHR3yrs3Y
marcus says not to fund it
@97ZCL3N3yrs3Y
Just not educated on the issue
@97XHRB43yrs3Y
It should be available, but insurance shouldn’t be mandatory to have.
@972WP3N3yrs3Y
Does not effect me in Massachusetts.
@96XNQMJ3yrs3Y
No, did not go far enough to provide benefits of universal healthcare yet went far enough to bring the cons of such a system while removing benefits of a privatized system
@94VQGKM3yrs3Y
@92N2PF83yrs3Y
Yes, but affordable care should be a public option
@8ZHXHVJ3yrs3Y
All children under the age of 16 should have dental insurance coverage provided by their parent's private insurance company or medicaid if the private company refuses to cooperate.
@8ZCL3WQ3yrs3Y
No universal health care is not a good thing and the current system covers the poor and indigent.
Free medical care for every American
Obamacare was expensive. People who could not afford healthcare were penalized if unable to afford it when claiming taxes and the healthcare wasn’t affordable enough to force people to have it
@8HFHBDZ5yrs5Y
I agree with it, however I think it is a first step in the longer process. The way I see this working is that with the next president, we will build upon Obamacare to get a strong well developed public option. However, the goal of this public option is to reach a high % of Americans as participants. Once that higher % is reached and we are sure our public system can handle all 300+ million Americans, then we can proceed with a complete public option that covers everyone's basic needs, with the option to purchase 'more' healthcare items which are not life-related, but cosmetic, such as a nose job.
@99MMBLV2yrs2Y
I am not political and choose to remain neutral for religious reasons
@8Y6MCTX4yrs4Y
It's something nobody wants until they need it, like all insurance.
