How do you think focusing on environmentalism can reshape our economy and job market in the future?

 @9TJ7SY8  from Alabama  answered…11mos11MO

I think every source has its place, but we need to push towards nuclear power.

 @9X4SW2S from Colorado  commented…10mos10MO

I personally feel like we could use nuclear power, but only until we can use other types of reusable power. The waste from nuclear power can be detrimental.

 @9TJ3TFH from New York  answered…11mos11MO

Focus on that would help with healthcare because things would be carefully operated.

 @9TJGFBGRepublican from Tennessee  answered…11mos11MO

I think they will decrease our economy by only focusing on the environment when they are bigger issues at hand.

How do personal choices and daily habits contribute to or counteract efforts toward achieving a greener, more equitable world?

 @9TMTDD5 from Colorado  answered…11mos11MO

 @9TKLH2D from New Jersey  answered…11mos11MO

I think that personal choices can make a difference in achieving a greener world but it is more important for regulation and for corporations if we really want to protect ourselves from the perils of climate change.

 @9THBSTQ from Texas  answered…11mos11MO

using cars with lithium batteries like teslas and vaping is starting the hurt the world more than oil ever has

 @ISIDEWITHasked…11mos11MO

Can gender equality in leadership positions lead to better environmental policies, and why might this be the case?

 @9THBQT2 from North Carolina  answered…11mos11MO

Yes. Gender equality is a step in the direction of diversity as a whole, which can limit the presence of "we didn't think of that" problems.

 @9THCJ5H from Virginia  answered…11mos11MO

I think that it could because a lot of people have good ideas regardless of gender.

 @9TN9GTJ from Wisconsin  answered…11mos11MO

This could make an impact, women may be slightly more likely to support green policies.

 @9YFSM5C from Washington D.C.  answered…9mos9MO

Not really. Gender equality doesn't play a big role as people would say or think. It really matters on the character of the individual and what policies they're trying to pass.

What personal sacrifices would you be willing to make for a greener planet, and why?

 @9R693LF from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

 @9R696YD from Oregon  answered…1yr1Y

I would change a lot if it meant a better planet for the future. Including but not limited to; even more recyclables, complete solar power/alternate energy, community composts, ethanol bans, natural gas bans, natural yards to eliminate water waste.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1yr1Y

In what ways can individual actions contribute to or detract from the goals of environmental sustainability and social justice?

 @9RDDSGCCommunist  from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

Do not buy "green" products in order to be "green"; purchasing a new electric vehicle, for example, rather than simply driving less or buying a used ICE car is abysmal for the environment for the overwhelming majority of people, as a new EV typically has to be driven at least ~100,000 miles just to offset the cost of manufacturing.

 @9SG2BMW from Florida  answered…12mos12MO

Nothing. We need to stop the gaslighting of internalizing blame for the adverse effect industry has had on our planet and population. Furthermore, it has been demonstrated in real-time that current regulations and penalizations do not curb bad actors

The proliferation of PFOA's and microplastics in our ecosystem require a hard look at how public health is subverted by big industry. Government agencies such as the FDA and EPA are continuously undermined and have failed to efficiently combat regulatory capture. There needs to be harsh enforcement of the law we have in the books to hold these criminals accountable, so as to deter future bad behavior. More needs to be done to create a viable, stronger future that includes proper, thorough assessment of both positive and negative externalities, promoting the former and minimizing the latter.

How do you think a shift towards a green economy might impact your future job prospects or the cost of everyday goods?

  @elisaurusGreen from California  answered…11mos11MO

It will be much more beneficial as using sustainable/renewable sources of energy are obviously going to be more cost effective. Its in the name.

  @elisaurusGreen from California  commented…11mos11MO

Environmentalism also makes for a healthier planet and population, what more can you ask for

How has a personal experience with nature ever changed your view on environmental issues?

 @9TMV42Y  from Minnesota  answered…11mos11MO

I believe more firmly than ever that protecting our natural environment is a critical necessity to prolong the lifespan of our planet and all life within it. Climate change is just word to describe the steps of terraforming. What we are doing to our planet will inevitably result in becoming like Venus if we don't improve our emissions, environmental preservation, resource waste and consumption, etc.

Is it possible for a society to achieve complete social justice, and what steps would need to be taken to get closer to that ideal?

 @9TMZB7NRepublican from Utah  answered…11mos11MO

No. Humans are flawed and sinful. Understanding our differences, recognizing that they do exist, and finding unity with what we DO have in common is the only way for us to prosper. There will always be conflict. We need to avoid evil and do good.
