Although i do agree that men and women should be paid fairly I do beleive that someone with more experience, a higher education, and tenure deserves to be paid more than someone who does not an this goes both ways not just one.

They should be required to pay for the quality and quantity of work regardless of who the person is. Education, experience, knowledge, years with the company, competitiveness, and cost of living should be the determining factors.

Good work, better pay, average work, average pay. It only matters how the employee works, and how they leave an impression on the boss.

 @9J2W3W7 from West Virginia  answered…1yr1Y

It depends on who does the job better, if the woman does it better then she should get payed more and if the man does it better then he should get paid more.

 @9HZ2ZM9 from West Virginia  answered…1yr1Y

I feel they should not be getting the same pay, TO A CERTAIN EXTENT. Depending on the job that is being done. Say fast food, or retail, they should both be getting payed the same 100% but if it was a type of work that has to take a tougher amount of effort, and maybe they cant do as well or consistent of a job, maybe they should be payed a little less.

 @9HQNTKG from West Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

yes, as long as they are equally qualified. the person's gender should not be considered at all. salary should depend on experience, qualifications, and performance.

 @9HK8WWD from West Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

they do get paid the same its no new news that women work little less then men and they shoose less payong jobs.

 @9G4S9DG from West Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

I think you should get paid for how good you do your job, and how often you go to work. I think for somethings that men are better then women in some fields and vice versa.

 @9CF93L9Progressive from West Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and it should be based on the level of work, not on years of experience.

 @95XPZWH from West Virginia  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, they already are. The only thing that makes the wage gap existent is the type of job itself and the salary negotiation that goes with it.

 @94KVRRB from West Virginia  answered…3yrs3Y

If they do the job as well as the men then they should be paid the same, but if not they should not be paid less

 @94KVMLG from West Virginia  answered…3yrs3Y

I think whoever is getting the job done more efficient should get paid so if a women can do just as good of a job as a guy then yes goes both ways

 @94KPK8Q from West Virginia  answered…3yrs3Y

I think no matter what gender, if you are better at that job you should be paid more.

yes, if women are required to obtain the same responsibilities such as selective service

 @92MSGR6Libertarian from West Virginia  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but women should also be blessed with the same responsibilities as men such as selective service

men and women should have the same base pay but based off the quality of work depends how much extra men or women get paid

 @8X4RPX9Democrat from West Virginia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, everyone's pay check for the same job should all be the same no matter the gender.

 @realpatriot789 from West Virginia  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, if they have the same amount of experience and education they should get paid the same amount.

 @8PBP2V8Independent from West Virginia  answered…5yrs5Y

The gender wage gap is not a myth but is misrepresented. Men on average work more days, are more likely to take risks, are more likely to ask for raises, and in the study that brought about the wage gap they compared men to women in the fields as a whole not taking into account that surgeons and pediatricians while in the medical field have different pay rates and surgeons are mostly male and pediatricians are mostly female.

Yes, assuming they both perform all aspects of the job identically except for their genders they should receive the same pay and compensation.

 @8DLFM4W from West Virginia  answered…5yrs5Y

Candidates for a job with equal education/experience/tenure/etc. should be paid the same regardless of gender

 @8C4WTYL from West Virginia  answered…5yrs5Y

They are already paid the same amount hourly and it would be illegal if an employer didn't not equally pay them. Stupid question.

 @992ZX63 from West Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

Strictly enforce the Equal Pay Act of 1963 and expand it to include benefits.

 @9844LYZ from West Virginia  answered…3yrs3Y

No, the government should not tell businesses what to pay employees. There are many other variables such as education, experience, and tenure that can determine a fair salary.

 @975B5VJ from West Virginia  answered…3yrs3Y

I think they should be payed based on their performance in the job. If they perform the same and have the same job they should be payed the same.

 @975B2C6 from West Virginia  answered…3yrs3Y

I feel that it depends on the perfomrance levels, I think if a man does a better job then he should be payed more. Also if a women does a better job than she should be payed more. I think it all depends on the job and who works harder at it.

 @96VB3N9 from West Virginia  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, as long as it adjusts according to effort, progress, completion, and efficiency, within a range of a minimum of the listed factors to a maximum wage scaled to account for overtime, along with the previously noted facets

 @96QVL5L from West Virginia  answered…3yrs3Y

No, pay by effort, productivity, efficiency, and length of work time within a range based on a minimum and maximum rate for appropriate task progress or completion

Base pay should be equal, and opportunity should be equal. This negates any idea of a wage gap. The government should enforce this to ensure men and women are being paid equally and receive equal chances for opportunities to raise their pay.

 @8NNP5XM from West Virginia  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, because we are all equal and women deserve more because we go through a lot. (men dot oo but it's hard being a woman)

 @9HKBYY6 from West Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes and no, Yes they should if they have the same role, skill, and experience as men, but if not, no they shouldn't, because this wouldn't be fair to those who work more.
