Accidents happen, and you can't always control how or when you get pregnant. Aborting a fetus is not murder.

 @BB7LFT5 from North Carolina  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree, I think the lack of accountability and responsibility is a major issue. Abortion should not be a way out if you make a stupid mistake. Granted there are many other reasons for getting an abortion, and those can be understandable but making a mistake and killing a baby for it is not ok.

Having children in an unhealthy environment for their childhood is indeed a act of unfairly giving them a chance to recognize themselves.

 @BB7MK3T from North Dakota  agreed…4mos4MO

Yes I completely agree and think that it is ridiculous people think an abortion is basically a form of birth control.

 @BB7M2VK from North Carolina  agreed…4mos4MO

NO, although it is wrong, this is not a positive mindset of abortion and lacks a sense of accountability.

 @BB7D6LJ from California  agreed…4mos4MO

Money is something we all stress, however like I mentioned, it all depends on the circumstance of the mother and how she became pregnant, whether willingly or unwillingly. If it was a fully conscious and lustful or rationalized decision, then abortion should be denied here.

 @BB9BB7DIndependent from Pennsylvania  disagreed…4mos4MO

The fetus is not alive. If you can't afford to have a child. don't have the child. if you are already pregnant. end of discussion.

 @BB9926G from Minnesota  disagreed…4mos4MO

If someone cannot afford a child, then why should you force them to have one? A fetus that cannot survive outside of the womb is not a child. A child has a soul, beliefs, likes and dislikes. A baby can breath. A fetus does not. And abortions are committed when the fetus is just some cells in a women's body.

 @BB8ZYQ4 from California  disagreed…4mos4MO

Many women become pregnant due to circumstances they cannot control such as rape, so it's important to consider that. The baby is also a fetus during this time, so they technically cannot feel anything. Women should have basic rights over their body and the law shouldn't dictate what they do.

 @BB8BRSB from West Virginia  disagreed…4mos4MO

There are many different circumstances. It's not always stupidity; it isn't fair to take abortion away from everyone.

 @BB7Y68M from California  disagreed…4mos4MO

Things in life happen and someones life shouldn't be changed over this when the child in the womb isn't alive yet.

 @BB7WDB7Democrat  from Oregon  disagreed…4mos4MO

Not all situations where abortion is the result are due to the financial hardship of an unwanted pregnancy. That is assuming that every pregnancy has a "healthy and normal" gestational outlook, when the reality is that abnormalities happen frequently and are underreported. The possibility of being in a situation such as this is reason enough to warrant a little more critical thinking with a hardline anti-abortion stance. My family was in a situation like this, where we got to our anatomy scan of a wanted pregnancy and were given a detrimental diagnosis that, if gone to term, would…  Read more

In certain instances such as rape it is inevitable and not the persons fault. The unborn fetus does not have any emotion, mental, or physical capabilities until the 2nd trimester.

It could be for uncontrolled reasons such as sexual assault or incest. And before a certain time period the child isn't alive and it wouldn’t be killing anyone. It’s also the women’s body and her choice. It also could end up where the mother wouldn’t be able to live through the pregnancy or giving birth.

 @BB7R5T6 from South Carolina  disagreed…4mos4MO

I believe abortion shouldn't be seen as a bad thing, you did something stupid yes, but we're only human. Doesn't mean you have to kill a baby as well.

 @BB7PZJ6Socialist from Georgia  disagreed…4mos4MO

No birth certificate, no death certificate. Not every person who get's pregnant should be forced to carry said child. Pregnancy is a toll on the body and mind even more so if the pregnancy is a result of rape or incest.

 @BB7ML3F from North Dakota  disagreed…4mos4MO

Not everyone decides to get pregnant on purpose, it can be unexpected like with someone that has fertility issues. The "baby" is a fetus growing inside the mothers womb unable to survive outside of it. It has no thoughts, memory, or emotion to know what is going on, because it is not yet a person. Giving birth to a child and then being forced to raise it in poverty does damage to not only the mother, but the child also.

 @BB7LQRMNo Labels from Alabama  disagreed…4mos4MO

It isn't murder if it isn't alive. Why would you want to force someone to give birth to a child that they aren't going to be able to take care of. It's their body, their life, and it does not effect your life whatsoever.

 @BB7LJDL from Missouri  disagreed…4mos4MO

People are always going to have sex, and accidents happen. The baby is NOT any more important than a living conscious woman who has found herself in a bad situation. That baby may feel pain.. but does its mind even comprehend the pain? it doesnt know anything. Either way a woman should choose whether or not they want to keep the parasite in their body, until it becomes a living breathing born baby, or abort it. The fetus isnt losing anything besides a life that is not even theirs yet. Abortion also saves lives in some cases.

 @BB7LJ2F from North Carolina  disagreed…4mos4MO

It depends on the circumstances of the pregnancy, For example, If a child is raped nonconsensually, why should that child have to raise an infant that is the result of some severe trauma?

 @BB7JT8G from Illinois  disagreed…4mos4MO

Not being able to afford a child is not the only reason people abort babies. As I stated in my previous answer, children, ages as young as 9, could get pregnant by being raped. Why should they be forced to keep the baby when they are babies themselves?

 @BB7H7RCLibertarian from Pennsylvania  disagreed…4mos4MO

what about unconsentual pregnancies? what about accidents that happen even while protected? these are all possible. you preach in a free country, so if someone wants to get knocked up and have an abortion, they should be able to right?

 @BB7DS8W  from Iowa  disagreed…4mos4MO

First, I would say that if you want to make an argument, you should know how to write a sentence. Secondly, I think it is always the person carrying the baby's decision whether they want to keep the baby or not. I don't think it should concern anyone else. Why do people care so much about what a woman does with her own body? It's cruel that women have to die because aborting their baby would be considered murder. Why is a fetus more important than a living person's life? Abortion isn't murder. It's a way out for women who have been raped, who are at risk of death…  Read more

my body my choice. if the child was born they would suffer from the fact that i cant afford to provide for them.

 @BB7DBTLDemocrat from California  disagreed…4mos4MO

the child will ultimately suffer in the end not being able to be cared for properly because of lack of resources or if put up for adoption will suffer in foster care for however long waiting to get adopted

 @BB7D6ZYWorking Family from California  disagreed…4mos4MO

I don't have a counter. I agree with the statement, it isn't the babies fault. Although, there are certain circumstances where the individual was a victim of rape and I can understand wanting to terminate a baby you didn't agree to have.

 @BB7D4BRDemocrat from Texas  disagreed…4mos4MO

I would trust people to make their own medical decisions. Not forcing pregnancy as punishment for sex.
Most pro-choice people don’t see this as punishment or murder. I see it as a complex medical and personal decision that should be made by the pregnant person and their doctor, not the government.

 @BB7D3TJ from California  disagreed…4mos4MO

If you cannot afford to have a baby, it's okay to have an abortion. In this economy, everything is expensive.

 @BB7CXH9 from California  disagreed…4mos4MO

Abortion should always be your choice, it's your body. Your body your choice what I always stand on.

 @BB7CQRD from Ohio  disagreed…4mos4MO

In many cases of abortion the concieved baby was given to the mother by force of an act of rape and sexual assault rather than a mistake conceiving on their own. It is not morally right to make a woman carry a baby of an abuser, and then blame the mother for this cause. The alleged baby does not have an actively functioning brain and therefore cannot process the supposed grief the question is imposing on it nor the "death" it would be given from the abortion. Fetuses do not feel anything, the mother does.
