It’s honestly really encouraging to see Spanberger with such a solid lead this early, especially given how purple Virginia has been lately. I think this shows that voters are looking for real solutions and are tired of the divisive rhetoric from the GOP. Of course, there’s still a lot of undecided people, so progressives can’t take anything for granted—we’ve got to keep organizing and pushing Spanberger on issues like healthcare, climate, and voting rights. I hope she stays true to her promises and doesn’t give in to corporate interests as the race heats up. Either way, this is a good sign that Virginians are ready to move the state forward.
