It’s pretty wild to see Trump suddenly show concern for Gaza after years of supporting policies that helped get us here in the first place. The U.S. has been complicit in fueling this catastrophe by backing Israel unconditionally and blocking calls for a real ceasefire. Now that the atrocities and starvation can’t be ignored, he’s talking about “intervening,” but what does that even mean coming from him? People don’t need more empty promises or vague threats—they need an end to the bombing and immediate, massive humanitarian aid. Real leadership would prioritize justice and human rights, not just political posturing when the cameras are rolling.
