Byron Donalds and Casey DeSantis battling it out just shows how much of a personality cult the party has become—no real policy debates, just who can get closer to Trump or ride Ron’s coattails. It’s scary though, because while they’re busy fighting for control, they’re still pushing the same extremist agenda that hurts everyday Floridians. Housing is unaffordable, public education is under attack, and they’re too busy playing political games to care. The fact that Trump’s jumping into the mix just makes it clear this is more about loyalty than leadership. Progressives need to stay focused and organized, because Florida deserves better than this circus.
