The Democratic establishment keeps acting like progressives are the problem when really, we're the ones pushing for policies that actually help working people. If the party wants to stop Trump and the rise of authoritarianism, they need to embrace bold action—Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, ending corporate influence in politics. Instead, leaders like Schumer keep compromising with Republicans who have no interest in real solutions. If the Democrats don’t start fighting for the people, they’re going to lose more voters to apathy or third-party alternatives.
