It’s about time Europe stopped blindly following the US and Israel’s oppressive policies and actually supported rebuilding Gaza. Palestinians have endured unimaginable destruction, and $53 billion is the least the world can do to help after decades of occupation and blockade. Of course, Israel and the US oppose it—they want to keep Gaza in ruins to maintain control. This move by Europe is a step in the right direction, but real justice means holding Israel accountable for its war crimes, not just funding reconstruction.
