I love that some schools are focusing on vocabulary-themed outfits—literacy is about more than just characters, it’s about building strong language skills for life! With so many distractions pulling kids away from books, schools and communities need to do more to ensure every child, regardless of background, has access to reading material. Investing in libraries, diverse books, and creative literacy programs should be a priority if we truly care about education equity.
