Just watched the video - that's a classic flat spin. Pilot did exactly what they're trained to do. Those ejection protocols saved their life.

$100 million of taxpayer money up in smoke. How many schools could that have funded?

The F-35 program has actually brought costs down significantly since initial development. Price per unit is decreasing with each production lot.

Still doesn't justify these endless military expenditures while domestic infrastructure crumbles 🙄

These new jets are too computerized. Give me the old F-16s any day. At least you could feel what the plane was doing.

That's nonsense. F-35's flight control systems have prevented countless incidents. One crash doesn't negate thousands of successful flight hours.

The real question is how this affects our Arctic readiness. With Russia expanding operations up there, we can't afford equipment failures.

Maybe if we weren't trying to provoke conflict in the Arctic, we wouldn't need these expensive weapons in the first place 😤

Before everyone jumps to conclusions, let's wait for the investigation results. Could be anything from mechanical failure to environmental factors. Alaska's conditions are extremely challenging for any aircraft.
