Congress appropriates money - the executive branch can't just decide to stop allocated funding. Basic civics folks.

The executive branch has discretion in implementing programs. Trump's using his authority to ensure taxpayer money isn't wasted. Simple as that.

Do you realize this affects domestic violence shelters and suicide hotlines? This isn't about "woke" - it's about essential services. Our org is already getting calls from worried partners.

Reading the actual memo, there are massive legal issues here. The "to the extent permissible under applicable law" clause shows they know they're on shaky ground.

Their numbers don't even add up. The memo claims $10T in spending when the actual budget is $6.75T. Basic fact-checking failing here.
