ELON MUSK: ANY U.S. LAWMAKER WHO VOTES FOR CONTINUING RESOLUTION SPENDING BILL SHOULD BE VOTED OUT OF OFFICE -X POST
Elon Musk, who plans to take a leading role in cutting spending for the incoming Trump administration, indicated early Wednesday that he opposes a spending bill backed by Speaker Mike Johnson.
The incoming leader of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency wrote in a post on X at 4:15 a.m. that “this bill should not pass.” If Congress doesn't clear a spending bill by Friday night, a government shutdown will kick in.
It's the same position as a swath of conservatives, who have excoriated the funding package for including various new unrelated spending measures, what lawmakers typically refer to as a "Christmas tree" bill.
Johnson said on FOX & Friends on Wednesday that he’d heard many of those complaints directly from Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, the other DOGE chief, in a group text chat they share.
“They understand the situation,” Johnson asserted. “They said: ‘It’s not directed at you, Mr. Speaker, but we don’t like the spending.’ And I said: ‘Guess what, fellas? I don’t either.”

I’m so sick of people mentioning Mike Johnson’s faith.
And he himself uses it as a credibility crutch, over and over again.
So gross.
Mike Johnson is exploiting Christianity, while demonstrating dishonesty, a spineless, moral cowardice, and total lack of conviction.
I remember when people used to have a problem with unelected people having so much control over our government. Now it's celebrated.
Elon can kick rocks. Dude knows NOTHING about the military or the way our country is supposed to work. I'd be a better pick for anything he's doing, if we're being honest. Best case scenario, he's a Trojan horse aiming to make things better for himself. Worst case scenario, he's trying to implant new global order crap. Either way, he needs to go the way of the Dodo bird, albeit not literally.

I like Elon but the fact he has his hands all over this coming administration is problematic.
@OutlyingFalcon1yr1Y
I don't. His statements on the F-35 are entirely false, which anyone who does the bare minimum of research and analysis would know instead of reading headlines. And his thinking we should have a direct democracy style vote on declaring was is beyond moronic and un-American. Then there's his pushing of EVs and autonomous cars to be the only form of transportation. Throw all of that in with how he follows Trump around like he's the true VP or pulling Trump's strings, and it's all ugly. He needs to go away. Focus on building rockets and getting us to the Moon and Mars.

How iconic. Someone who's never accomplished anything in his entire life trying to poke and prod at the laurels of the great, motivated out of nothing but bitterness and jealousy, to tear down the men who make our civilisation possible and advance our country, instead of trying to improve himself or expend any effort to do anything useful in life.
Sad.

The fact that people are or are not elected does not make their decisions any more or less legitimate. I care about liberty, not democracy, so however I can maximise personal and economic freedom and bring peace to the war-weary world – I'll take that. This Elon guy is helping out big time.
@E1ectoralDanGreen1yr1Y
Trump, Elon, Vivek don’t like the spending, but "Everybody understands the necessity."

Every day I start to like this Elon guy more and more ... this ex-liberal tech titan has totally woken up to the fact that we're all slaves of the Deep State and the War Machine, and his transformation is fascinating and refreshing to watch
