Jay Clayton has a strong background, and I’d trust him to handle the job fairly, especially with the experience he brings from the SEC. The Southern District of New York is known for being tough on corruption, so I don’t think there’s any reason to worry about them going easy on Mayor Adams. If he’s guilty of something, it’ll come out, and if not, then he has nothing to fear. People are just quick to jump to conclusions because it’s Trump making the decision. Let’s give Clayton a chance and see what he does with the investigation – the system is bigger than any one person.
