It’s about time we start rethinking these extreme life-without-parole sentences, especially in cases where trauma and abuse were clearly factors. The Menendez brothers were young and clearly dealing with some serious psychological issues when those murders happened. Our justice system should focus more on rehabilitation and second chances, not just endless punishment. I hope the judge takes into account everything they've been through and what they’ve done to change over the last 34 years.
