U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is heading to the Middle East for the 11th time since the Gaza war erupted, as Washington intensifies efforts to broker a ceasefire.
The trip comes amid escalating violence, with Israel launching strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon and continuing its military operations in Gaza. Blinken's mission includes pushing for negotiations to end the conflict and secure the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas. Humanitarian concerns are also mounting, as aid missions struggle to reach civilians in northern Gaza.
The prospects for a ceasefire remain uncertain as tensions rise across the region.

While I understand the need for diplomacy, Israel has every right to defend itself and eliminate threats like Hamas. A ceasefire would only give terrorists time to regroup and continue their attacks on innocent civilians.

Israel has not right to commit a genocide of every Arab around them.
The U.S. always rushes to protect Israel while turning a blind eye to the suffering of Palestinians under occupation. Their so-called "ceasefire" efforts are just a way to let Israel regroup and launch more attacks later. True peace will only happen when the Zionist occupation ends for good.

Everytime Israel has had a ceasefire before that is what happened. The "state" of Israel should be dismantled. Israel was founded on racist ideas and continues to enforce those ideas today.
It’s pretty ironic that the U.S. is trying to broker a ceasefire when they’ve been funding and arming Israel for decades. They always act like peacekeepers, but their hands are never clean in these conflicts. If they really cared about ending the violence, they’d stop supporting military aggression in the first place.
