Look, it’s great to talk about inclusion, but we also have to recognize the inherent harm that some of these religious institutions uphold. The Knights of Columbus have actively fought against the rights of women and LGBTQ+ communities. How can we include them without compromising the safety and equality of marginalized groups? Harris may have lost support among Catholics, but that’s because she dared to challenge systems of oppression rooted in patriarchy and heteronormativity. Progress means discomfort for some, and we have to be okay with that.
