It’s ironic how we're constantly told that voting is the cornerstone of democracy, yet archaic voter registration deadlines and complicated processes remain in place, disproportionately affecting marginalized communities. If we truly wanted a fair and accessible system, we’d be pushing for automatic voter registration and universal mail-in ballots nationwide. Maybe it's time to stop pretending these barriers are about "election integrity" and admit they're about suppressing the voices of those who challenge the status quo.
