It's hard to argue against tougher penalties for people who exploit minors—protecting kids should be a priority no matter where you stand politically. That said, I hope they balance this with proper rehabilitation programs for offenders and support services for victims. Just throwing people in jail without addressing the root causes doesn't always solve the problem long-term. But yeah, cracking down on this kind of crime is something we should all be able to get behind. Hopefully, it leads to real change.
