No, the United Nations cannot represent the interests of the world because rather than giving each country a fair vote, it is ran by the superpowers, who disagree on everything so nothing is passed through.

I'm not sure but having a space where all countries can come together and discuss world views and issues would be good

not in its current state. and in its inception i think it was built to give cover to former colonial powers and prevent the rise of new ones that aren't supported by the current leading world powers. the idea is nice but the execution is western centric.

No too many needs and wants that stem from every different nation and that one nation could just choose what's best for them instead of helping the nations it's representing.

 @9V7PC6R from Utah  answered…7mos7MO

No, it would be bad if there was since they would stick to their own interests and there would be no one to oppose them effectively

 @9V7P6HF from North Carolina  answered…7mos7MO

No, whether it’s a vote system or not, not everyone is going agree on one thing

 @9V7KT2R from California  answered…7mos7MO

No. Most countries are different and operates in different ways so that wouldn't work. Religion plays a big part on how countries view the right of free religious expression/choice without it being force on each other.

 @9V5YN94 from Missouri  answered…8mos8MO

I dont think so because everyone's wants and needs are different and they cannot account fro everyone no matter how hard they try

 @9V3MMBJ from Illinois  answered…8mos8MO

I do not believe that this is possible, because other nations have other ideas, and no matter what, you cannot please everyone.

 @9V3LXR6  from California  answered…8mos8MO

yes, if the jury is large enough and have conflicted views but can talk about it

 @9V3LMQ5 from Illinois  answered…8mos8MO

No, the world is too diverse so someone would be misrepresented somehow somewhere

 @9V3LLS6 from Texas  answered…8mos8MO

Sure man but we probably are gonna have to really ponder the best way to do it.

 @9V3LCCM from California  answered…8mos8MO

I believe that it is possible to represent all countries, if all participating countries are willing to compromise. The only reason that the U.S.'s constitution was formed was that the founding fathers could come to a compromise. No one will ever be fully satisfied, and that is a good thing.

If every country is fairly given representation, the UN is the best system we have to represent the countries of the world, although it is often not as effective as I believe it should be.

 @9V3BGXGNo Labels from Washington  answered…8mos8MO

No, Each country has different interests that should be personalized to them

 @9V7NYL2Women’s Equality from California  answered…7mos7MO

Yes, I think they can represent the majority and at least take into consideration the minority.

 @9V6GS6BTaxpayers from Indiana  answered…7mos7MO

No, because there will always be people who oppose your views and trying to unify everyone under one banner is a fool’s errand.

 @9V6DV6Y from Michigan  answered…7mos7MO

 @9V5JZN3Republican from California  answered…7mos7MO

Represent the interest of every country? No. However, they can represent the majority while hearing out the minority.

 @9V64YLP from California  answered…7mos7MO

I don't think so. Even if countries create these bonds with each other, there will always be differing opinions.

 @9V62KCM from Tennessee  answered…8mos8MO

The United Nations is our best option for effectively representation the world, but we need a new system of voting that better represents all people, not just economic powerhouses.
