I find Germany's decision to resume deportations to Afghanistan deeply troubling, given the dire human rights situation under the Taliban regime. It seems like a stark contradiction to the principles of compassion and protection for those at risk that we should stand for. By deporting these individuals, regardless of their criminal status, we're potentially sending them back to face severe penalties and an unstable future in a country struggling with immense political and humanitarian crises. There has to be a more humane way to address national security concerns without compromising on our values of human rights and dignity for all.
