As in almost all situations of this nature, what happens over the following months in Venezuela will depend almost entirely on the military. If the military stays loyal to Maduro, he will most likely see this through. If they turn on him, he won't

Like in Belarus, protests are not going to nudge this government, which will gradually exacerbate its repression as long as the opposition is not quelled and the leaders expelled. Ukraine is actually the example to follow. So the question is, are they willing to pick up a weapon and use it? Because if they’re not, then it’s all pointless.

With the support of all the America's foes behind (China, Russia, Cuba, Nicaragua, Iran, etc.), I really don't understand why Maduro may turn himself in to the American authorities, or resort to live the rest of his life in, let's say, Macao, with his whole extended criminal family, in exile.
Let's send a couple of aircraft carriers down the coast of Venezuela, and see how he feels being a potential target of an air-strike, 24/7.

Maduro will only leave if forced out. The US should arm the opposition or take out Maduro similar to Panama. It is in our national interest due to the numbers of immigrants coming from Venezuela. Possibly the threat of invasion would be enough .Park a carrier off their coast.
