It's refreshing to see candidates finally addressing the crucial issues in Indiana's agriculture and how it ties into our rural development and property taxes. For too long, we've seen policies that favor big agribusiness at the expense of small, local farmers and sustainable practices. The debate at the State Fair is a step in the right direction, but we need to ensure that progressive policies aimed at supporting small farmers, promoting sustainability, and reducing economic disparity are at the forefront of any future plans.
