Anyone who thinks the 1st Amendment is optional should be immediately disqualified and thrown out of office. He's violating his oath to uphold the Constitution.

Govt should never be given the authority to regulate speech or define misinformation or declare what is true.

But they will and will try.

American duty to defy this orwellian thug.

That Tim Walz falsely believes the free speech guarantee doesn't include what he considers to be 'misinformation' or 'hate speech' will bother almost no Dem supporters, since the vast majority of them want the state to be empowered to censor dissent.

 @TreatyKoalaGreenfrom Maine  commented…10mos10MO

Do you think that's true? I mean, that's how it appears on social media, but do people in the real world actually think censorship is a good thing? Serious question.

When Matt Taibbi testified before Congress about the attempts by CIA, FBI and other agencies to coerce Big Tech censorship of dissent, every Dem - every one of them - defended this as good, noble and necessary.

Polls show the same.

It's shorthand to refer to Dems and Repubs. Always remember this is actually about authoritarian capture and control led by a couple hundred super elites & a handful of military contractors.

They now own the Democrat brand. But shortly before 9-11 they had captured Repub brand.

Tim Walz is educationally challenged when it comes to the United States Constitution. The First Amendment guarantees free speech. It doesn't hinge on whether Walz considers it to be "misinformation" or "hate speech." Walz is a Democrat but, like many others, anti-democratic.

To what extent should individuals or the government decide what constitutes misinformation or hate speech?

  @@1876-Elbert from Colorado  answered…8mos8MO

The Govt. or other individuals cannot decide this.

All speech, no matter how insulting it is to anyone, is protected. They can try to decide, but they can't do anything about it.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…10mos10MO

Would you feel comfortable if certain types of speech were restricted, even if it's for the greater good?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…10mos10MO

Should society impose limits on free speech to combat misinformation and hate speech, and why?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…10mos10MO

How do you define the boundary between free speech and harmful speech?
