Let me guess, you’re a straight white man?

Do you think young adults (who’ve never faced war but are making decisions that affect the lives of soldiers) should gain valuable perspective by talking to veterans? Maybe you could gain some valuable perspective talking to someone who has experienced certain challenges that you haven't.

With respect, what on earth does that have to do with my question?

I didn’t make the statement you are asking about Im asking you a question.

You asked when I asked what was wrong with being a straight white man, so I assumed it had something to do with that. If it didn't, you should have commented somewhere else probably.

Its relevant to your question and im surprised you are avoiding answering it (as you havent already). I don't think @9RHK5N6 was saying its wrong to be a straight white man. Im guessing their point was that, as a straight white man, youre less interested in hearing about the experiences and challenges of an asian women executive in a male dominated industry - just as a liberal student at a progressive college is not interested in hearing about the experiences of a soldier in combat. I think both of you would benefit from hearing diverse perspectives.
