The prospect of victory for former President Donald Trump, the Republican contender, has long concerned Kyiv, which fears he would choke off support and force Ukraine to sue for peace on terms that favor Russia.
The Kremlin launched its full-scale invasion in early 2022, leading to more than two years of war.
But while the Democrats hope Biden’s decision to drop out and endorse Vice President Kamala Harris will inject energy into their campaign, it's unclear whether it makes Trump's defeat more likely. Officials in Moscow, widely thought to favor Trump, were noncommittal.
“The Ukrainians are pretty disappointed with Biden,” said Edward Lucas, a senior adviser at the Center for European Policy Analysis.
“Biden’s dithering has a price, paid in the destruction of Ukrainian infrastructure and the slaughter of Ukrainian civilians, and in unnecessary battlefield casualties.
“So although Trump might be worse … a continuation of the Biden line is already pretty grim.”

I think the 200 billion given to Ukraine thus far would have been better used to boost our economy and help our citizens instead of the military industrial complex and now we are stuck with rebuilding Ukraine.

Imagine how many Americans could have been helped with the $200 billion taxpayer dollars squandered on Ukraine's losing battle.
So Zelenskyys wife can’t go on shopping sprees anymore. No more million dollar jewelry and no more billion dollar luxury cars. Nor his friends. The ukranians people will stop dying since the war will no longer continue and the American people can finally start using the money for themselves instead of funding that war for Biden, and Biden stops gaining billions from that war.
There is no real uncertainty. The Russians have crushed the Ukrainian army. There is now no uncertainty as to the results.
Russia has won, Ukraine lost and we have been humiliated again.
The only thing left to do is to see how may more Ukrainians Zelenski will get killed before he flees the country.
More money and weapons might delay the end of the war a little, but we have lost again, no matter who tries help the Ukrainians.

Ukraine is no closer to winning their war than they were two years and $200 billion taxpayer dollars ago. More isn't going to help. If Ukraine is that important I'm sure the EU will find a way to fund their every need.

Not to worry! Biden's replacement has said, "We will continue to do what we are doing to get done what must be done, which is what we are doing, and when we are done doing what we are doing and what must be done, which is what we are doing, then and only then will what we are doing be done".

I don’t think President Trump will cancel the current aid package, but they better get it spent/delivered before he’s sworn in just in case.
As far as future Ukraine aid packages, the Euros better be ready to step up and provide the majority from here on out.
@ISIDEWITH2yrs2Y
How important is it for a leader to stick to their decisions in international politics, even if those decisions have dire consequences for others?
@9RH759J2yrs2Y
If need be a politician need to do what they can for their country
Germany just cut aid to Ukraine in half, if Germany won’t pay why should the USA Germany said they will only give 4 billion down from the current 8 billion, USA should follow, half of 60 billion is 30 billion.
