They would have gotten a better deal before this invasion or even on March 2022 but they decided to try their luck on the battle field. I doubt after the thousands of dead that Russia has suffered since then, they will agree to give anything back. Never going to happen now and no amount of funding Ukraine will change that. They don’t have more men to send to the meat grinder
