On one hand, it's pretty clever of Colorado Democrats to boost a controversial GOP candidate in the hopes of flipping Boebert's seat. It's no secret that Boebert's views are polarizing, and having someone even more divisive could indeed make the seat more winnable for a Democrat. But then again, it feels like we're playing with fire here. Elevating someone who denies election results just for a strategic advantage seems risky, and it's not exactly putting our best democratic principles forward. I get the strategy, but I can't help but worry about the implications of giving such candidates more of a platform, even if it is with the intention of beating them later on.
