Vaping refers to using electronic cigarettes that deliver nicotine through vapor, while junk food includes high-calorie, low-nutrition foods like candy, chips, and sugary drinks. Both are linked to various health issues, especially among young people. Proponents argue that banning promotion helps protect the health of young people, reduces the risk of developing lifelong unhealthy habits, and decreases public health costs. Opponents argue that such bans infringe on commercial free speech, limit consumer choice, and that education and parental guidance are more effective ways to promote healthy lifestyles.

Nicotine products should not be promoted period. Addicting substances with intense withdrawals should be banned from commercial use.
@B4JN3QT6mos6MO
No, but there should be more education and parental guidance to promote healthy lifestyles backed up by scientific evidence.
@B3X4TGY7mos7MO
The government should ban promotion of things like vaping that can have very adverse health affects and cause addiction.
@B329TVM8mos8MO
I think the government shouldn't be able to say what should or shouldn't be banned like they don't get to decide weather or not they should ban advertisements
Yes. In addition to banning the promotion of said products, tax vaping and junk food instead while making healthy food cheaper.
@B2K52HYWomen’s Equality9mos9MO
No vaping but you can have junk food every once in a while because you are young and can live your life.
@B24D5LP10mos10MO
Yes advertising those products should be stopped, and educating people on healthy eating, coping, etc. increased.
@9YJFVNC11mos11MO
No but they should have more education and labeling. People who participate in these activities should be encouraged to seek mental health evaluations too.

Find ways to actively promote healthy lifestyles and remove any barriers instead of only not promoting unhealthy ones
@9YBS5MM11mos11MO
We should look into actively facilitating healthy lifestyles instead of just not promoting unhealthy ones.
@9Y45MLP11mos11MO
Vaping yes but not junk food. Vaping is life-threatening and can cause major health issues regardless of regulation and junk food is fine when it is regulated.
@9Y22YY911mos11MO
I think vaping and such paraphernalia should be banned on promotion but I believe junk food is fine.
@9WZQWTP11mos11MO
I think that harmful substances that are age limited (vaping, alcohol, tobacco, etc.) should have banned promotion. But things like food I think are fine since they are not age limited and a little bit can't hurt you unlike little bit of age limited substances is harmful.

Americans already have junk food as a style of life... if the government ban it would be a shock for all, but vaping is a really bad think for all of us, should be ban, but for people that are already addicted, they should get a free therapy for at least 1 year, pay for the government, with psychologists of the government and after if they want to continue they should pay...
@9RYN94W1yr1Y
Yes and no. Vaping is akin to smoking and is easily the new gateway drug, so that should be banned. However, it's not the governments job to decide what people eat.
@9RTCQD31yr1Y
I think there should be encouragement to use these products sparingly. Like say a lot of it is harmful but a moderate amount is not bad.
@9RQXQPX1yr1Y
I think that if they promote it that they need to advertise it for what it really is and that they need to make it known of all the things its doing to their body and systems.
@9R4TBYQ1yr1Y
Vaping, certainly, as the chemicals used in the product to make it work are very harmful. Stay away from eating habits, such as junk food, that's the parent's responsibility.
@9MW9YT81yr1Y
Banning is too far, but discouraging it is important.
@B4B5FVS6mos6MO
It depends on the product, but I don't think promotion should be outright banned. There are much better ways to counter the junk food crisis than banning its promotion, so it should be left alone in this area. However, for things like vaping, smoking, and alcohol, we should tax their promotion.
@9W6VJV2 12mos12MO
No, but these foods should have a Surgeon General's warning label on the side, like cigarettes, so people more seriously consider the health risks associated with the consumption of said products.
@9TKPM3J1yr1Y
Yes, vaping, but junk food should be allowed. While they are both unnatural, some people need more choices for food, and have agency, plus then the economy would crash for a while and crime rates would increase
To a degree. At the very least, put more warnings on harmful products so people become more aware of the risks.
Ban vaping as it makes you sick and is bad for the environment. Not junk food because sometimes junk food is all they can afford to eat.
@9PP27PF1yr1Y
No. It sounds good in theory, but the government has proven to be unreliable in determining dietary implementations for the public.
@9NXW9RJ 1yr1Y
Young people need to be aware these products contribute to an unhealthy lifestyle. But, it should be done by means of education and information campaigns. We should inform and educate, then let them decide for themselves.
@9N3Q2ZR1yr1Y
No, but make it clear what items are a threat to health
