Yes, but there needs to be a required set of guidelines and oversight to protect the public health. Research needs to be specific and closely monitored.

The government should only fund this group only if the person they are experimenting on has given a full consent to be their.
@9X65DKN7mos7MO
Yes and no because who knows if the government will go to far with the genetic engineering than necessary. But if the government genuinely uses the genetic engineering correctly than yes.
@9X485SX7mos7MO
No, because genetic engineering spits out more genetically modified diseases compared to the amount of cures that it creates.

The government should only provide research if these vaccines will be available free of charge. If tax dollars pay for the vaccine they should be included in our taxes, or at least subsidized.
@9THN3R89mos9MO
i would say yes but it should be strictly regulated to only edit for medical reasons not for physical wants
@9XZX2MM7mos7MO
Yes and regulate the price of treatment if data is used by pharmaceutical companies to create the treatments

I feel genetic engineering can be a great innovative solution to fighting diseases but it needs to be done ethically as genetic engineering entails tampering with DNA which can go south very quick

The opportunity for bad people to rise and eugenics to stand is two high for something like this to be allowed. It would be great, but unfortunately, a few bad apple spoiled a bunch. nobody could be trusted with something like this, because of our political climate. Only the rich would be able to take advantage of these policies, while the rest of the world would suffer.

Maybe because it could help us but it also creates tests or lab experiment (maybe humans or animals) sickness or death.
