Privacy is very important but they should take a leave of absence if possible so they can focus on their health.

I would feel sad that a leader/public figure I like is dealing with a sever health issue. At the same time though, I don’t think all of their private information about their health should be released to the public. If word gets out and many people are concerned, it may lead to them getting questioned a lot, which would lead to stress making their health even worse.

If anything severe occurs with their health, like a coma or close to death, I believe the public should be notified since their public figure's health is severely compromised. However, it is respectful to allow them and the family's privacy to be kept to themselves.
