How should states address school safety and hate crimes, and what are your thoughts on introducing stricter laws?

Saftey of students is really important and we have to figure out how to stop the slaughtering of students and the violence words and actions aginst them. Everyone has the right to live to be happy and to be themselves.

A kid was murdered and the murderers got a short suspension and that's it.

They should address them strictly. Schools should be places that are always safe, and hate crimes should never be looked past. I feel like if you are found guilty of committing a hate crime or violating school safety protocols you should be punished. Stricter laws could be good if handled well.

I feel like nothing is being done and everything is getting worse every day. It needs to be paid attention to and fixed.
