Why? You ask why? It isn’t obvious? Netanyahu is a coward and not fit to serve. He is incapable of taking any decision unless it serves his personal agenda. Israel is rudderless, alone and with no end game. As a resident of the north I am scornful of him.

If I'm generous, maybe its been decided the brigade-scale units and the weapons and support infrastructure are more important than killing the Hamas members themselves.

Also it isn't going to take a genius to know Hamas will reoccupy key buildings and IDF can trap them

It’s really not difficult to understand. Israel, or at least Netanyahu, has no interest in bringing the war to an end. It all makes sense when you recognize that.

Because it's not a normal war. Obviously...

Israel is many times more powerful than Hamas, and further, Israel's chief benefactor, the United States, has a direct interest in the way the war prosecuted.
