It shouldn’t be so rare that when a college President holds students accountable for overt misconduct and behavior that we celebrate, but here we are, and hopefully this will be a catalyst for future college administrators.

This can only happen at a prestigious private university. Getting a similar result from a public school would be one in a million.

Nah, a Public University is accountable to legislators and the taxpayers. We should demand better from them.

That’s the problem, the legislators will only stand up for a cause if it fits their needs or agenda. They will pick and choose their support to fit the electable narrative.

Did the fat kid who said Vanderbilt is worse than prison get tossed?

If he did something that broke university rules, he should be expelled, not if he said things that upset or offended people.

How would you feel if expressing your political beliefs at school could lead to expulsion?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Should the severity of the punishment (like expulsion) depend on the cause being protested?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

To what extent should universities tolerate disruptive protests by students on their campuses?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Is it ever justified for educational institutions to expel students for participating in protests?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

If you were a student at Vanderbilt, would you join a protest knowing the risks involved?
