Biden Declares March 31st To Be "Transgender Day Of Visibility."

"On Transgender Day of Visibility, we honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation’s commitment to forming a more perfect Union — where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives.

I am proud that my Administration has stood for justice from the start, working to ensure that the LGBTQI+ community can live openly, in safety, with dignity and respect. I am proud to have appointed transgender leaders to my Administration and to have ended the ban on transgender Americans serving openly in our military. I am proud to have signed historic Executive Orders that strengthen civil rights protections in housing, employment, health care, education, the justice system, and more. I am proud to have signed the Respect for Marriage Act into law, ensuring that every American can marry the person they love.

Transgender Americans are part of the fabric of our Nation. Whether serving their communities or in the military, raising families or running businesses, they help America thrive. They deserve, and are entitled to, the same rights and freedoms as every other American, including the most fundamental freedom to be their true selves. But extremists are proposing hundreds of hateful laws that target and terrify transgender kids and their families — silencing teachers; banning books; and even threatening parents, doctors, and nurses with prison for helping parents get care for their children. These bills attack our most basic American values: the freedom to be yourself, the freedom to make your own health care decisions, and even the right to raise your own child. It is no surprise that the bullying and discrimination that transgender Americans face is worsening our Nation’s mental health crisis, leading half of transgender youth to consider suicide in the past year. At the same time, an epidemic of violence against transgender women and girls, especially women and girls of color, continues to take too many lives. Let me be clear: All of these attacks are un-American and must end. No one should have to be brave just to be themselves. "

Everyone: Biden should really reach out to disaffected Republicans and center right conservatives who are uncomfortable with Trump.

Trans Day of Visibility has happened annually on March 31st since 2009, Easter is a different date each year. Next year Easter will be on 4/20, which I am sure you'll take equally well.

It has never been openly celebrated and recognised by our government, and crammed in our faces as it is now, until Biden, because in 2009 not even the government was insane enough to celebrate a horrible mental health condition.

I don't care if your gay but I believe God made you how he wanted you and you should not change the way he made it.. If you wanna like girls and your a girl that doesn't effect me however I have young nieces and nephews and if you go into a women's restroom just because you feel like a woman and have a penis I will have a problem with that

It's no coincidence that this BS is on Easter Sunday. In spite of claiming to be "Catholic" Biden has declared war on Christianity and traditional morality, and wants to use tyrannical powers to replace our celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ with a heathen commemoration of the sins of Marxist gender cultists. What ever happened to the First Amendment he swore to "preserve, protect, and defend"? This is one of the most disgusting actions any President in our history has ever taken, and he deserves instantaneous impeachment for it. All state legislatures with a shred of Patriotism remaining must nullify this morally reprehensible law.

I hate that these non issues become front and center for outrage while they continue ignoring the plight of the disaffected lower-middle class in an economy that’s out pricing people from their own cities. It would be nice for someone to recognize that and do something about it.

President Joe Biden announced a ban on new offshore oil and gas drilling along most of the US coastline on Monday in a move designed to bolster his environmental and climate legacy as he prepares to leave office.The order will protect 625mn acres of ocean on the US east coast, the eastern Gulf of Mexico, the Pacific coasts of Washington, Oregon and California, as well as portions of the Northern Bering Sea in Alaska, the White House said on Monday.“My decision reflects what the coastal communities, business and beachgoers have known for a long time: that drilling off these coasts could cause irreversible damage to places we hold dear and is unnecessary to meet our nation’s energy needs,” Biden said.The executive action will not prevent oil and gas companies obtaining leases in the central and western parts of the Gulf of Mexico, areas that produce almost 15 per cent of the nation’s oil supplies. Nevertheless, the move is expected to complicate the policy agenda of incoming president Donald Trump, who has vowed to “drill, baby, drill” and boost US oil production, even though it is already at a record level.The Trump transition team said it was a disgraceful decision designed to exact “political revenge on the American people” and the incoming president said he would immediately “unban” Biden’s prohibition on new offshore drilling.“I have the right to unban it immediately . . . we can’t let that happen to our country. It’s our greatest, it’s really our greatest economic asset,” Trump told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt in an interview on Monday.Biden’s action will probably be challenged by the oil industry in court and face pushback from Republicans in Congress. But overturning the order could prove challenging and may require an act of Congress, according to legal experts.Biden is using his authority under the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, to protect the areas from drilling — the same mechanism which former president Barack Obama used previously to ban offshore drilling in some Arctic and Atlantic waters in 2016.In 2019, a federal judge ruled that an executive order by former president Donald Trump that lifted an Obama-era ban on oil and gas drilling in the Arctic Ocean was unlawful.
