What are the potential pros and cons of replacing food boxes with prepaid debit cards for migrants?

Imagine you're a migrant receiving this aid; how does this impact your view of the local community?

Do you think it's fair for a company to profit from providing assistance to migrants?

Why is the USA suddenly responsible for the whole world?

Especially people who break our laws by entering the county illegally?

What if these illegals eventually vote Republican? Can Dems get their money back?

Or the entire story:

These prepaid debit cards will only have $12.52 cents per day and can only be used for food and baby products.

It is a pilot program to replace the food boxes currently given to migrants and will actually save the city $600,000 per month while simultaneously helping the local economy since they can be used at local bodegas, grocery stores, supermarkets and convenience stores.

It is a similar approach to how funds are given out through SNAP and WIC.
