A home inspector inspects a home

If the seller told you the roof is 2 years old, a home inspector can tell you whether or not that seems to be true. You might have to connect the dots yourself, but the info is there

The inspector doesn’t receive the seller disclosure. The seller says it’s 2 years old. The inspector finds no damage. Then that’s that.

Yeah you’re right, but a good home inspector can tell you how old they think that roof is, all you have to do is ask. You can ask about the work that has been reported in the disclosure
