Five U.S. Marines aboard a helicopter that went down during stormy weather in the mountains outside of San Diego are confirmed dead, military said Thursday.
Authorities say the CH-53E Super Stallion vanished late Tuesday night while returning to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego after training at Creech Air Force Base, northwest of Las Vegas.
“It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that I share the loss of five outstanding Marines from 3d Marine Aircraft Wing and the “Flying Tigers,” Maj. Gen. Michael J. Borgschulte, commander of 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, said in a statement.

Our military should be a top priority as these people have a heart for this country and they put their lives on the line for use every day. Their families also do the same for us by endouring their loved ones when they are serving our country, putting themselves in danger. The families of our military need to have their loved ones be a top priority. Regarding border patrol, this also has lives on the line because people are being injured coming into the United States. Our border patrol are at risk of being involved in protecting our board and violence breaking out due to the intense circumstances. The bigger factor here is what is coming into our country that is a risk to our citizians being harmed long term. I believe they both need to have top attention.
